Fantastic Murano Glass Centerpiece made in our Furnace by our Glass masters.
The name of the line is Fossile, because its marvelous combination of colors recalls the magnificence of fossil stones.

Making a millefiori pattern is a multi-step process, however it all begins with a glass rod prepared in a particular way. It comprises multiple layers of semi-liquid glass paste applied one on top of the other around the cylindrical rod.
Each layer is shaped to have a certain shape (often star or flower) and color. The preparation continues as the resulting multi-layered rod is stretched and then minimized into small cylindrical objects called “murrine”.

In fact, the minimum difference between the temperature for melting the glass and the outside temperature during all the production phases can create endless variations.
